Plan A ‘Wipeout Party’

Wipeouts always look so awesome on TV where you can laugh at the contestants as they plummet into the water. It, therefore, comes as a welcome surprise when people realize that it is possible to plan one in your very own backyard. The logistics of planning one, however, can be a bit daunting if you do not know where to get the things you need.

This is what you need in order to make a wipeout party come true.

  1. Craft a plan

Nothing goes well without a plan. Planning a wipeout party is no different. To start with, you need to have a theme. This will help you decide what sort of activities you want to include in the party. It will also help you decide how many people you want to invite, what location to use, duration of the party, as well as any extras you want included, e.g. carnival foods.

Having a plan makes everything proceed a lot smoother as opposed to going gung ho. It sets an itinerary, lets people have fun while remaining easier to manage. Plans also help you have a bigger and clearer outlook of things and avoid overlooking the small but essential things.

  1. A bunch of fun people

Now that you have a plan, it is time to create an invite list. When doing this, refer to your plan and see what sort of venue you have and how many people it can hold. This is the first step in whittling down your invite list.  It will help you determine whether this is a family only affair, coworkers, friends or a mix of all three. Looking at your plan to determine what sort of age group you want at your party will also tell you who you need to invite. Now that you have got your invite list sorted, time to look at what you need to bring.

  1. Activities

The third stage of planning a wipeout party is looking at what sort of activities are available for you. At South Florida Bounce for example, we have a variety of rentals that would be ideal for this type of party. These depend of the type and size of the crowd invited. For instance, you can have “The Wipeout” which is ideal for a small gathering of a few family and friends. The Hungry Hippo, Water Balloon Wars, and The Dunk Tank are also awesome alternatives. Now you have a plan, which you have followed to create an invite list and pick out activities. The next step would be what to bring.

  1. A lot of towels

The logical thing to bring to a wipeout party, especially with activities that involve water, would be a lot of towels. That is probably the first thing you will tell the people invited to bring. The next item should obviously be a change of clothes of several, depending on the person. Other things that are essential for a wipeout party would be lotion and sunscreen. As with any gathering that is having an outdoor activity, make sure there is a fully-stocked first aid kit at hand. It never hurts to be prepared.

  1. A camera

There is no need to have all that fun and not document it. Memories are very important, and they are all we are left with after we are done with an activity. Make sure that, at the very least, there are enough selfies that you can share on your social media.

Wipeout parties are great as a team building activity or just plain fun. We can install a Wipeout set on your backyard overnight. It’s that simple!
